SNOWDON STREET PARK

Public BBQ

Snowdon Street Park offers a basic neighbourhood setup with a playground, half basketball court, and flying fox positioned low to the ground. The park includes sheltered picnic tables and a barbecue for family gatherings, with taps and bins on site. Open grassy areas provide space for kicking a ball or playing cricket. The playground equipment suits younger children, particularly those aged six and under, though there's a notable lack of shade cover over the play area, making it uncomfortably hot during the middle of the day. Early morning or evening visits work best to avoid direct sun exposure. The park was previously used for kids' birthday parties, but the toilet facilities have since been removed, which has disappointed regular visitors. The unfenced layout means children need supervision, as the park is surrounded by roads and houses. While functional, the park could benefit from additional investment to improve its limited amenities.
